Terms of Use

Welcome to nebraskalacrosse.com (the “Site”). The Nebraska Lacrosse Connection is a program and registered trade name of Tennessee Advocacy Talk, a Tennessee nonprofit corporation authorized to do business in Nebraska and recognized by the IRS as tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (“TAT”). In these Terms of Use (the “Terms”), “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to The Nebraska Lacrosse Connection and TAT. These Terms govern your access to and use of the Site, including the member directory, the jobs board, donations, and all content and services offered here. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These Terms benefit, and are enforceable by, TAT and its programs.
About the Site
The Site exists to grow and connect the lacrosse community in Nebraska. It provides information about programs, coaching, officiating, and sanctioning efforts, a public directory of lacrosse organizations and services, a jobs board, news, and the ability to support our work through donations.
Eligibility
You may browse the Site at any age, but you must be at least 18 years old to create an account, submit a directory listing, post a job, or make a donation. By creating an account you represent that you are 18 or older and have authority to act for the organization you register.
Accounts and Directory Listings
Directory listings are submitted by the organizations themselves and are subject to our review. We may approve, reject, edit, suspend, or remove any listing or account at our sole discretion, at any time, with or without notice. You are responsible for the accuracy of your listing, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. Approved listings, including names, contact information, descriptions, and images, are published publicly on the Site.
Inclusion in the directory does not constitute our endorsement, certification, or verification of any organization. We do not independently verify the credentials, insurance, licensing, tax status, or program quality of listed organizations. We do not conduct background checks on listed organizations or on their coaches, staff, or volunteers. Parents and guardians are solely responsible for vetting any program, coach, or organization before enrolling a child. Confirm all details directly with an organization before registering, paying, or participating.
Any dispute you have with a listed organization, an employer on the jobs board, or another user of the Site is between you and that party. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release us from all claims arising out of such disputes.
Jobs Board
Job postings are submitted by third parties. We are not the employer for any posted position, we do not verify postings or the organizations behind them, and we play no role in hiring decisions, compensation, or working conditions. Use your own judgment when responding to a posting. We may remove any posting at our discretion.
User Content
You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Site, including listing text, logos, and photos. By submitting content you grant us a nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content on the Site and in materials promoting the Site or the Nebraska lacrosse community. You represent that you own or have permission to use everything you submit and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to do any of the following.
- Submit false, misleading, or deceptive information, or impersonate any person or organization.
- Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, obscene, discriminatory, or harmful to minors.
- Upload malware, scrape the Site, harvest contact information, or interfere with the Site’s operation or security.
- Use directory contact information for unsolicited commercial messaging unrelated to Nebraska lacrosse.
- Violate any applicable law in connection with your use of the Site.
Donations
Donations made through the Site support Tennessee Advocacy Talk and its charitable programs, including The Nebraska Lacrosse Connection. Donations are processed by third-party payment processors, and we never store your full card number. Recurring donations can be managed or canceled at any time through the donor dashboard or by contacting us. Donations are generally final. If you believe a donation was made in error or in the wrong amount, contact us promptly and we will work with you to correct it. A receipt is provided for each donation. Tennessee Advocacy Talk is recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and contributions are deductible to the extent allowed by law. Whether a particular donation is deductible depends on your circumstances, so consult your tax advisor.
Sports Information Disclaimer and Assumption of Risk
Content on the Site about playing, coaching, and officiating lacrosse is provided for general information. The programs, teams, leagues, and services listed in the directory are operated by independent organizations, not by us. Participation in any sport carries inherent risk of injury, including serious injury. By using the Site to find or connect with a program, you acknowledge these risks and agree that decisions about participation, training, equipment, supervision, and medical readiness belong to you and the operating organization. Any questions about physical readiness should go to a qualified medical professional.
No Professional Advice
Nothing on the Site is legal, medical, tax, financial, or other professional advice. Content is provided for general informational purposes only. Consult a qualified professional before acting on anything you read here.
Intellectual Property
The Site and its original content, design, graphics, and logos are owned by The Nebraska Lacrosse Connection and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Member logos and content belong to their respective owners. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from Site content without our written permission, except for normal browsing and sharing of links.
Copyright Complaints
We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice to info@nebraskalacrosse.com identifying the work, the location of the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized. We will review and remove infringing material as appropriate.
Advertising and Third-Party Services
The Site displays advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense, and includes content and links from third parties such as social media platforms, petition sites, shops, and member websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party sites, services, products, or content. An advertisement or link on the Site is not an endorsement. Your dealings with any third party, including payment and delivery, are solely between you and that party.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any information on it, including directory listings and job postings, is accurate, complete, or current.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Nebraska Lacrosse Connection, Tennessee Advocacy Talk, and their respective programs, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents (together, the “Protected Parties”) will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Site, any content on it, any listed organization or posted job, or any third-party site or service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Site will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Protected Parties from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your content, your use of the Site, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Site at any time, with or without cause or notice. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including user content licenses, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification, survive termination.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Nebraska, and you consent to their jurisdiction. To the fullest extent permitted by law, all claims must be brought in your individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding.
Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision. Changes take effect when posted, and your continued use of the Site after posting constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site.
